The Foundation of Energy Saving in Gdansk was founded in 1991, on the basis of the Statute dd 6 April 1984 about the foundations (Dz. U. nr 21 poz. 97), and it continues functioning up to date.
The founders of the Foundation are:
Gdansk University of Technology,
Gdansk Energy Works,
Gdansk Electroheating Group,
Pomeranian Regional Gas Works in Gdansk and
persons from the scientific, technical, energetic and ecological circles.
The Charter defines the main aim of the Foundation as the activity directed for the rational energy management, usage of the renewable energy sources resulting in the improvement of the natural environment. The Foundation has had a series of initiatives for promoting and implementation
of energy efficient solutions and renewable energy sources in accordance with the particular environmentally friendly solutions.
